Activities and trips:

The activities take place either in the mornings from 10:00 to 14:00 or in the evenings from 16:00 to 20:00. They consist of both, cultural activities and sports. The cultural activities include several visits to places of cultural interest such as la Sagrada Familia, la Pedrera by Gaudí, the Football Club Barcelona Stadium, etc. The sports include sailing, ice-skating, cycling, rollerblading, etc.

The activities are held within a small group of students and an activity leader (either one every four or eight students depending on the kind of course) will accompany the students at all times in order to promote interaction in Spanish and act as a guide while visiting the city and the surroundings. Through these activities, the students improve their speaking skills in a very natural way while having fun with their new friends.

Full day trips:

On Saturdays the students have a full day trip usually starting before 09:00 in the morning and returning home by dinner time (around 20:00). In those full day trips they are accompanied by an activity leader every four or eight students who will show them some of the most interesting places around Barcelona. It is a perfect chance for the students to keep practising their Spanish skills in outdoors environments while visiting the country.

These are some of the examples of day trips:

· Dali museum and La Costa Brava: In this full day trip the students are taken to the Dali house-museum to enjoy one of the most renowned Spanish artists ever. On the way back to Barcelona they will stop in a pristine beach in la Costa Brava to have lunch and have a swim in the warm Mediterranean waters.

· Fantasy Island: This water park offers students the perfect environment to enjoy a warm day practising Spanish with their new friends. The activity leaders will accompany the students they will have a great time while learning the language.

· Sitges: A nearby town famous for its promenades and beach. The students will enjoy a beach day and some nice walks by the sea. They will play beach volley, do some water activities, have an ice-cream with their friends, etc.
